Clients applaud Alison’s ability to listen to their wants and desires, and then create a space better than they ever envisioned. While she has great proficiency with period restorations, she also enjoys creating transitional and contemporary spaces. One of her Mid-Century Modern kitchens recently appeared on the cover of a major cabinet manufacturer’s 2008 national catalog.

Alison has been designing and building things since she was a child. She grew up surrounded by construction, and gained hands-on experience first with the construction of her childhood passive solar home, and then as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.

While attending Mt. Holyoke College, majoring in International Relations, she spent the majority of her time sewing costumes for the college theatre department and taking fine arts classes. Rather than pursuing a traditional career in business or law, Alison moved to New York City, enrolling in the Fashion Institute of Technology’s fashion design program. For the following ten years, Alison created textile designs for the home furnishings and apparel industries.

Her transition to kitchen design started many years ago with the purchase of a 1918 Craftsman bungalow and the sketching of her dream kitchen, eventually leading to a job offer of designing kitchens as a career. For Alison, designing kitchens and other interior spaces has been a perfect blending of her love of design, construction and architecture.

Upon completing his bachelor degree at Montclair State University, Jim fulfilled his life long dream and attended UCLA to pursue his Masters of Architecture. Completing this in 1990, he went to work in Denver, Colorado on the new Denver International Airport where he worked for five years. Seeking greater opportunities to reflect his creativity, Jim joined a kitchen design firm in the Aspen, Colorado area. He loved it! Since returning to his home state of New Jersey, Jim has designed kitchens from California to New Jersey and from Florida to Todi, Italy. He has won a national design award and has been published numerous times in books and national magazines. Jim recently appeared on HGTV’s national program, Kitchen Trends.

Jim Dove became fascinated with architecture and design at a very early age while exploring the majestic hotels of Atlantic City’s glorious past. Ever since then design has played a major part of his journey through life. At the age of 18, Jim found himself on a plane destined to explore the Architectural treasures of Europe and Africa. While there he absorbed the grandeur and magnificence of the great pyramids of Egypt, the Blue Mosque of Istanbul, the town of Toledo, Spain, home of painter El Greco, and finally Paris and all the city of lights has to offer a young man passionate about art and life.

For each person, a dream kitchen is a reflection of magical memories and their aspirations. Melissa Seibold knows that by investing time to listen to each client so she can draw from them the characteristics of the kitchen they truly desire. Melissa loves the uniqueness of every project and she embraces every style, knowing that each can address a homeowner’s vision.

With a B.A. in Architecture and Computer Science from Lehigh University, Melissa takes the information she gathers from clients and develops 3D color renderings. Each rendering suggests the materials being used to create the character of the kitchen as well as the layout. This enables you to tour your space before the room is constructed. You can determine if the look is right and if the layout functions as it should based upon your family’s lifestyle: who cooks, who entertains, and who gathers round the kitchen.
